Oman is THE greatest place,especially for Indians.I was there from 1982-1993 and end of 2001-2004.I was with my family and never ever faced any problems of any kind. It is very very unfortunate thing that took place now. I feel very sorry about that,ot only for Indians but also for the Residents/Citizens of Oman.

I agree wth Jayaraman, its the best and a beautiful place to be around in the ME. First of its kind Cyclone to strike the Sultanate since several decades, it has affected normal life, but looks like not much harm to lives as it appears now.
A Dog like chakradahr gopal,bark always.Cyclone is a national calamity.It may hit anywhere.really thinking like this people are so bad and hatred,these people should be banned from discussion,rediff please cancell his membership.Here so many poor indians working because who cannot settle or get good job there in India.
It's just an Information... Those who are all having helping propensity, let them do it eighter indian or foreigner...

There is a Oman Govt to look after them , Why is Indian Govt is wasting money on them . They did go on their choice to Oman , so it their responsiblity ,not ours

so the Lathur earthquake is punsihment on those people. The earthquake occured after the festive ganesh chaturthi celbrated and people went to sleep in a happy mood of satisfying the god.
What about Tsunami 2004- what for they are punsihed.

Few days ago there was fire accident in Bahrain and all killed are poor labours from India. No sheik was killed in that incident
So this time also poor indian labours will be affected by cyclone, you could read it later
