Lazy people
by jetsetgo on Jun 05, 2007 07:22 AM

I think whoever is looking for reservation are just plaiin lazy. Now almost everyone has equal opportunities. Basic schooling in INdia is not very costly.. parents just need will need will to educate their kids.

But who wants the hard way.. when jobs are available for free .. and best ,, you do noty have to work in a government job..

I am so surprised that these politically strong Gujjars are asking for reservation while we all know what these people want is easy sarkari job (where they do not have to work) and easy life where tax payers carry their dead weight..

Long term solution
by Ram Sharma on Jun 04, 2007 07:21 PM

it is better if there is no reservation, but due to vote bak politics, it cannot b wished away. It is surprising that gujars and meena r fighting so that they get maximum benefit from reservations. How selfish these people r. I think that we should adopt following procedure for the benefit of the really needy people in the country.

-provide reservation purely on economic ground, with provision of stringent punishment for anyone getting such reservation by providing wrong economic backwardness documentation
-strictly enforce one child norm like china. increasing population is a bottleneck in providing enough to everyone. it is also responsible for global warming, which is going to cause lot of natural havoc in the world very soon, without discriminating on the basis of caste or religion.
-start putting expenditure tax. this will reduce excessive expenditure by people, which causes heart burning in poor people and it also causes burning of oxygen gas in the atmosphere adding to global warming, about which i have written above.

THE ABOVE MEASURES WILL FACE RESISTANCE INITIALLY THERE MAY B SOME BLOODSHEDING ALSO. BUT IN THE LONG RUN THIS IS THE BEST SOLUTION TO THE HIGHLY DISCRIMINATORY RESERVATION POLICY, WHICH ALLOWS RICH PEOPLE ALSO TO GET RESERVATION, ONLY BCOZ THEY BELONG TO A PARTICULAR CASTE AND SOME POOR PEOPLE FROM THE SAME CASTE MAY ALSO NOT B GETTING THE BENEFIT OF RESERVATION BCOZ OF SUCH RICH AND HIGHLY SELFISH PERSONS GETTING THE BENEFIT OF RESERVATION.

Who started the whole caste and casteism business?
by Awaara Uncle on Jun 04, 2007 06:27 PM

Who invented caste and casteism? Who deliberately kept vast majority illiterate? They have just begun to pay the price. So all this will go on for a very long time. The process of caste-based ethnic cleansing all over India due to quotas, caste-based elections, shrinking water table and shortage of women due to widespread female infanticide has begun. Soon we can expect Hindu-Muslim riots and caste-riots in London, Paris, New York, Sydney... wherever Indians follow caste. Some future VS Naipaul can write a book called "CASTE-BASED ETHNIC CLEANSING: A MILLION BOSNIAS NOW". The West will lap it up and make it a bestseller... And also BAN Indians from entering Western countries. GOODBYE H1B VISA!!! After all, who wants Hindu-Muslim riots and caste-riots in their country? I am sure that if any government stops CASTE-BASED reservations at this point, there will be all-India caste riots all over India!!! So no government can dare to stop caste-based reservations. So caste-based reservations will never go away as long as elections are fought on the basis of caste and as long as caste-based discrimination exists.

Reservation issue.
by Mahesh Kumar on Jun 04, 2007 06:22 PM

It is really sad that when in the world over, people do not want to belong to a class which is deemed backward, we here are compelling the system to be branded as backward. It is high time we realise that as long as one is kept under wraps of the reservation policy, there can be no way for his betterment as he is denied the opportunity of facing challenges in the competitive world. In other words, what one gets is the so called privilages under the reservation policy but what he loses is perhaps ten fold more. In view of this, the mass seeking reservation must immediately forego the idea and take a leaf out of the conduct of the American Negros who protested against the move and outrightly refused to be called as backward class when Abraham Lincoln as the President of that country wanted to extend the reservation policy in the US of A. Now the big question is who will tell these ignorant masses demanding to be branded as backward about the instance that took place in America? Obviously our elected leaders. But, it is they who prompt the masses to agitate for a wrong cause as this one. Therefore the big question will only turn bigger.
