ALSO THEY DENIED SECOND TERM TO THE POSITION OF PRESIDENT TO THE BEST EVER PRESIDENT OF INDIA, DR. APJ KALAM WHO REDEFINED THE PRESIDENCY OF INDIA AND ITS MEANING AFTER INDEPENDENCE.
BY ALL THESE EVENTS IT IS CLEAR THAT PRESENT GOVT. IS AFRAID OF HONEST, INTEGRAL AND COMPETANT PEOPLE TO PERSUE THEIR VESTED INTERESTS. GLARING EXAMPLES ARE LARGE NUMBER OF CRIMINALS AND TAINTED PEOPLE IN PARTY AND GOVT.
Now a days Delhi has gone to become crime capital of India therefore helpless people of Delhi and visitors from HOME AND ABROAD were looking forward to have a POLICE OFFICER LIKE MRS. KIRAN BEDI AS CP OF DELHI to have a relief on LAW AND ORDER OF CAPITAL CITY.
BUT UNFORTUNATELY ''MERA BHARAT MAHAN HAI '' THREFORE IT HAPPENS!!ANIL
Its pity right man for right job has not been chosen. Who else can be better suited than Kiran Bedi for Commissioner, Police Delhi.The reasons given are flimsy and do not hold ground. It reflects adversely on the Govt.
Women's organisations should display a sense of maturity and understanding about what really is a gender issue/discrimination from what is a general administrative controversy!
It this case, Kiran Bedi could have been wrongly/righlty overlooked for this position for one hundred thousand reasons but definitely very unlikely that because she is a woman!
Women's organisations should distinguish the deprived person being a woman from the reason for such a deprivation is her gender! It is the second part that forms their issue rather than the first part. Such an irrelevant appeal by senior women bureaucrats including Ms.Iyengar was made in the past in Bombay when an IAS officer was allegedly ill-treated by her IPS husband.
If they continue like this for TV appearences, Women's organisations will have a serious problem about their identity. It appears to be a knee-jerk reaction!
One of the drawbach u have is competancy, had u been an incompetant person u would have been handed over the post. Then our politicians would have proudly made it public that kiran is the first women DGP in india. You knows it is the greed of power, selfishness, which is getting priority in making various top appointment, nobody considers talent the only measure for making such appointments. Our politicians are very much aware that they can dictate terms to genius, talented person, who can never be their pupet. so what is the the fun of upgrading them. They upgrade people, who are ready to lick their boots, follow them like pet dogs. Kiran ji they made compromise on the highest post of India, presidentship, to hum aur tum kis khaat ki mooli ho. Go to supreme court, file a case against Deli govt. What will u get, case will be handed over to a pupet judge of Prabita Patil, indirectly of Sonia ji. I am not sure if she has been awarded any NATIONAL AWARD by the Government of India. And that too was timed on the day when a woman took over charge as the first citizen %u2013 RASHTRAPATI of India. Earlier, euphoria was floated in that the Government is importing an outside cadre officer to take charge from Dr KK Paul the outgoing Police Commissioner perhaps to give a side kick to the real issue, so that Dr Kiron Bedi remains in an obscure Central Police Organisation for the remaining career. if there is an option...madam kiran bedi...i am willin to stand at india gate on a candle-light vigil to drive home the point...this is jus not the way to run things inthe capital of india...esp when we have the complete commomwealth comin in 2-yrs time...who else but kiranbedi for the top job.frankly, this aint about women-empowerment...this is about RIGHT MAN FOR THE RIGHT JOB...and kiran bedi is the real man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when i read an article in papers that ms.bedi was in runnin for the post,i wondered how our politicians could let that happen!!!in a place like delhi where your position is your key to get to places,ms.bedi would have ruffled too many feathers.how can our politicians,who are so used to flauntin the law of the land,let that happen??so they shove her out.and all this when we have a woman prez,a woman PM(well,almost) and a woman CM(in delhi).i think after the prez-election fiasco,sonia(as much as i admire her)has put another nail in her coffin(reservations,prez-elections,etc...).jus wait for the next elections,madam,and the youth would show u what xactly they think of u and your whimsical ideas.really...bein a delhiite,i feel ashamed and defeated that a person of the stature of kiran bedi couldnt be given a chance to cure this city of its various ills in law&order(as if they xisted in delhi,anyways). so what do we have next...another cronie for chief justice of india...???god bless delhi,god bless india.......
