should kindly show their protest by genuine actions, not words or noisy protests......boycott all american & western invented products such as computers, automobiles, internet, aeroplanes, pharmaceuticals, television, electronics, machinery, movies, satellites, etc.
Present Manmohan/Sonia/Left combine Govt has finally been forced to accept the truth. (Look at the paradox. A govt supported by Commies is forced to forge a partnership with Americans. Had it been BJP, all pseudo-secularists would cried hoarse and labelled BJP govt as anti-muslims blah, blah)
That truth is SOCIALISM never worked for any country.
India pursued WRONG FOREIGN POLICIES for 50-60 years & we went with erstwhile USSR and lost out on USA.
That was an irrepairable mistake and we lost precious time & land to both Pakistan & China.
Now its taking time to build a partnership with US becoz Pakistan will always take few steps more than India to please the Americans.

Being pally with USSR was not a fallacy, because that time USA was more intent on warring with USSR, and would not have looked upon India as a major power (anyways, she wasnt). But, now that India is or almost has, emerged as an economic behemoth, it MAKES SENSE, not only for the USA, but others too, to have good business/cultural ties with India.
USA has JUST realised India's importance now...and also that India has been struggling with terrorism for so many years may have had an effect on it...now.

I am not sure whether we lost time or not? But we earned a very good friend in the form of USSR. Unlike US, which dumped pakis many time for their own reason, USSR( and now Russian Federation) was/is/will be with us.

USSR/Russia was not with us when China attacked India. But US supplied us with weapons. China went back because US had solved cuban crisis problem with USSR and was planning to act against China

As long as US is with us neither Pak nor China can touch us.
Of course we must maintain our own defense and relience.We also must continue to maintain realtionship with Russia even if it is only that russia does not sell weaponry to Pak.
Even Israel takes support of US but does not depend fully on US for her defense and economy

I agree with you hooter,
Pakis were smarter than us ,
Any day ,India would have gained a lot more ,had we been with US. Nehru's policy in case was not pragmatic and flawed.He always wanted to be a poster boy of international politics(NAM )rather than be more practical to the poor nation of that time. He got the biggest shock during chinese agression ,but by that time it was too late for him to realise... Our left is most out of tune with todays world and .. see what they have done to once a prosperous & progressive Bengal.Today,it is completely out of tune with India & world!!!!
There is need to catch the meaning of Blackwill word's, "India's choices must remain India's choices".
There is unease among the US politician's with the India's relation with Iran(Mainly Gas Pipeline,More money the Ayatollahs will make with oil,more will be the global terrorism).
It is certain that sooner or later,US will attack Iran. Similar choice is offered to Vladimir Putin,either stop supporting Iran or NATO will target russia.
