One of my friends was scheduled to travel from Delhi. Even up to the time of departure, there was no announcement of the flight status. Once the cancellation was announced, she was denied accommodation saying that her 'class' was not provided accommodation. Only class 'Y' people were provided with accommodation. She pointed out that her ticket class was 'Y'. The 'Indian' officials said that the ticket class did not matter. Only the boarding pass class mattered. They also didn't have an answer to why the boarding pass class was different from the ticket class. Strange that a single lady who does not belong to Delhi was harassed by officials simply by not giving her enough information and also by denying any help. Strangely, our organisations lack escalation paths (which should be printed on the ticket itself) in case of complaints.
