Sting with strings attached
by human on Dec 17, 2007 11:28 AM

So far whatever happend in the name of sting in india has strings attached. All the stings are aimed at so called right wing parties and some hindu based organisations. I dare the same sting media fellows to do one on Imam of Delhi or a imam in any gully in india. First of all the media doesnt have the guts to enter their areas for fear of no return. But can freely flaunt their secular(read pseuo secular) ethics on hindu leaders. Shame on Tehelka and other pro congi sting media. There are scores of interesting personalities for stings - Sanjay dutt(in D company), Imam bukari, congi leaders, karat n co, MIM leaders in hyd, shabnaazmi, her father like (JA) to take the sting real. I am sure the same parties guard them for whatever b**l they talk during sting. I dare tehelka or any body who wants to publish real sting.

Public interest!
by S Kiran on Dec 17, 2007 11:15 AM

It sounds very strange to hear things like public interest from the likes of Rajdeep Sardesai, Barkha Dutt,...... These people employ yellow journalism and are a blot to true journalism.

Staged TV 'exposes': Time for regulations?
by ak on Dec 17, 2007 09:50 AM  | Hide replies

What Tehelka "Sting operation" has done, clearly attracts Section 153A of the IPC and if Congress has not sponsored this "Sting operation" then it should not hesitate to prosecute Tehelka u/s 153A IPC. As Tehelka as well as the T.V. Channels who aired those tapes are headquartered at Delhi, it is the Delhi Police and consequently the Government of India to take the legal action against them u/s 153A IPC. Nobody could have had any grouse if "Tehelka" and the T.V. Channels had passed on those tapes to the Supreme Court, for suitable action, or even telecasted the so-called confessions of VHP activists or the BJP MLA for the information of the people. And, if indeed, those confessions are genuine and have any evidentiary value in them, then the law must take its course against those whose guilt is established. The real MISCHIEF that attracts Section 153A IPC is the JUXTAPOSITION AND INTERSPERSION of rising flames and bellowing smoke with the earlier recorded bytes of the Gujarat riots, accompanied with crashing cymbals, beats of drums, screaming voices, and the highly provocative comments of the 'anchors' of the channels that aired those tapes. There is a clear intention to inflame communal passions through what all was telecast in the name of "Gujarat ka Sach", and it would be dangerous for the future of the country if such a nefarious act goes unpunished .

Stalin of Soviet Union and Mao of Communist China set highest standards in giving absolute freedom of expression to the people in reporting and writing and reading whatever they wanted.

These great divine personalities are the outstanding examples of freedom of speech and freedom of expression and India is expected to emulate them

How about a sting operation on the India's Biggest Business Houses?

how about a Sting operation on AIDWA and other Feminist organisations to examine their personal attitude towards men?
