how the msulims would ahve handled this problem
by Pradip Parekh on Aug 31, 2007 01:06 AM

the muslims would have burned public and private properties across india to show their displeasure at this kind of stuff. and then usa would have reversed itself at the pleadings of a sleepless prime minister and the indian embassy staff camped out at the u.s. state dept 24X7. and then all would have declared islam to be a religion of peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why turban alone? Tomorrow the US will ask people to Strip Down Publicly at the Counters, which they will.

these sardars r responsible for such laws
by rachita bholowalia on Aug 30, 2007 04:42 PM

aal of our respected GURUs were
born with a hindu name
preached only and only peace
then the holy Sri Granth Sahibji contain thousand praises for lord RAM GOVIND PARVATIMAA SHIVJI and so on.in SUKHMNI SAHIBji and other holy books we find only word of humanity and peace.BUT THESE SO CALLED CONTRACTORS OF SO CREATED SIKH RELIGION(by them and not GURUs) DEFAMED OUR GURUs BY DRINKING ALCOHOL,GANZA, OPIUM,TOBACCO AND ENGAGED IN STREET FIGHTS WITHOUT ANY REASON.IF AT ALL THEY HAVE TO WEAR 5Ks THEN THEY HAVE SYMBOLIC WAYS--KIRPAN IN COMB AND THERE SHOULD BE NO BIG SHOW OF KIRPAN IN PUBLIC--SEE HOW THESE CONTRACTORS MAKE A JOKE OF RELIGION--recall compulsory use of HELMETS by pillion riders including women-THESE SIKHS objected to this for sikh ladies as their religion do not allow so--there is nowhere written in any holy books reg HELMET--hence these sikhs defame their religion only and hence r punished in world like islamic fundamentalists who cry for BURQA(VEIL) for their women but 90% sunni and 50% shia women do not go for BURQA in public---follow law of land only to live peacefully--lalit kumar

KEEP THE BATHED WATER WHILE YOU THROW THE BABY!
by Kabeer on Aug 30, 2007 02:01 PM

It is indeed sad that these people's perception and interpretation of faith do not go beyond these simpler symbols which have outlived their basic purpose for which they were prescribed!

It is like keeping the bathed water and throwing the baby!
