It is obvious that the article will not mention republican law makers like Bobby Jindal(Only person of Indian decent ran in gubernatorial election) and Nikki Randhawa Haley, But I was surprised to see the name of Kris Kolluri (NJ's governor for a day) missing from the list.

Inconsistency

India is proud as a person of Indian origin could become a leader in US. However, when Sonia had a chance of becoming a minister, people pointed out that she is a foreigner.

I don't have too much against Sonia, considering the alternatives are people like Advani, Deve Gowda etc., but I want to point out one main difference: Goyal's family put down roots in their town. They developed a local business and hence would have a better claim to understand the grassroots people. Sonia, on the other hand, entered politics at the top, simply by virtue of being married to India's First Family. Not that she may not understand common Indians, but there is absolutely very little comparison between the two.

Absolutely correct! The same guys take pride in Annie Besant and Mother Teresa. Inconsistency and hypocrisy rule the roost.

This guy is just a MLA like leader , & surely they are not nominating it for president ! Who are hypocrites, congress who have started the so called eradication of birth base cast system ... and at the same time appeasing their royal family with their loyalty ? salute to the great sacrifice by all the congress member they had done by offering it to a foreigner ! There is a huge difference between electing to 37th District in rual Ohio and leading a country. Do you think an Americans will ever let a foreigner rule their country? NO CHANCE in the hell. So don't complain about Sonia. She just happened to be wife/daughter-in-law/grand daughter of ex-prime minister. Other than that what other credentials does she possess to be at the helm of a country with Billion people. I really pity the Congress politicians for becoming a servants of this lady.
