Afzal\\\'s Clemency Plea and the Congress
by Srinivas on Oct 06, 2006 12:20 PM

The true Colour of the Congress and the other so-called \\\"Secular\\\" Parties is out in the open. Right from the time of Independence [and before it] the Congress has always been playing this deceitful game against this Nation. It is time the peaceful people of India throw this Family Party permanently
into the dustbin of History. There is a limit to the Tolerance of people.

Clemency??
by Rana Dutta on Oct 03, 2006 11:10 AM

Sir, These spineless politicians, whenever they are cornered they say "Law will take its own course". Now, when law is taking its own course these politicians are out for some political mileage. Everybody knows that "One who lives by the sword, dies by the sword". These terrorists should not be hanged, they should be fired point blank starting from their feet.

Conduct of Gulamnabi,a failure of constitutional system of governance.
by vijaysingh sharma on Oct 01, 2006 10:08 PM

As a lawyer I have come to understand, that Gulamnavi's plea for clemency is not in personal capacity and it is official one.Country may consider,as to whether in any prosecution by or on behalf of any State Gov./Central Gov.or by CBI,any authority including Govt.of Kashmir, may have any recourse open after the verdict of Supreme Court,to say asto the guilty was not given opportuinity to defend or the punishment awarded was not proper.Keeping of and seeing repurcussions of foreign relations, talks and treaties are out of ambit of State Govts. It is a constitutional misconduct showing failure of constitutional machinery in Kashmir that CM is making such demands.Only culture of Congress which acts only on votebank politics may save such antinational CM and not others, but the matter will not end and still Apex Court shall have authority to review Presidenal verdict.

No scope for mercy, diginity of law is more precious.
by vijaysingh sharma on Oct 01, 2006 09:41 PM

Gulamnabi and Farooq ,both appear to be anti nationals, who donot appear tobe having respect to Parliament,Indian constitution and supremecy of Supreme Court in such matters.Have they ever shown in action any remorse to the innocent people and members of armed forces killed at the hands of Kashmir seperatists. When both have stood against the very movement, what justification they may have in trying to save a culprit whose designs would have culminated into killing of MPs,had the house been in session. It appears a shame to say that guilty was not given proper opportunity to defend inspite of verdict by the apex court. Why did they not defend him there.Congress culture of vote bank appears to be determined to sack and sabotage basic legal system of this country.

Is this a joke ! What message are we sending to would be terrorist or criminals. Death penalty should be a deterrent to would be terrorist, that they cannot get away with henious crimes. If Afzal is guilty - the punishment should be implemented - no further questions.
