Salute to the magnanimous Dr. Sahgal

Yet another story of tenacity and power, an embodiment of truth and courage, which surely would be forgotten in the months to come. The need of making an equal footage for both men and women had been long realised and the dearth of such a initiative is the cause of many setbacks in our country. I guess we still have much concrete things to do rather than wasting time frivolously on occassions such as 'Women's Day', which hardly makes any sense.

The icon who changed rules for women
by shobha nair on Nov 05, 2006 12:18 AM

Respected Sir,This article must have inspired many timid women and girls to change, if they wished to survive a life of diginity. She is a very strong woman who could fight with her spirit with the people who had made set rules for women. She has proved that women are no less when courage to protect once land is concerned. She has shown how a womens hands with bangles can change to a weapon when she sets her mind to win unjustice. She is the old master light for our women folks to look into a bright future with out fear.Alas! she is also waiting like all other women for the situation of women in our country to change, and to see a country with out corruption as our late leaders once wished.Shobha nair.

She succumbed to her ego

She is lost, doing opposite of what she is famous for. A communal lady, she has supported anti-national propaganda against hindus, along with the marxists. In return she would expect more lime light as president.

You must be sufering from a warped and perverted mind to talk of a lady of such outstanding capabilities and even at 92 still showing the way to a perfect life. Go down to Kanpur and see if you can emulate her life and selfless devotion to the less unfortunate. What have you done in life till date to sit in judgement and pass such horrible comments. Just list out your achievements and then we will see how HOLLOW you sound. Loud talk with no positive contribution is the bane of our country. You are not fit to wash her sandals what talk of washing her feet.
