India China Talk
by Raj Talpade on Nov 20, 2006 11:06 AM

Even in 1962 the Indian higher ups felt that China would not attack India. Result: the Indian armed forces were caught on the wrong foot then, and China swollowed up part of India, which its hold till date. What have the higher authorities done to get it back. Just being complecent about China doesnt help. China is also threatening Arunachal Pradesh now. What have the Indian think tanks have to say about that? Just saying China won't attach doent help! Actions speak more than words i think... try to get back the the Indian area which China has for decades..

Day dreams or what????
by Jatin Patel on Nov 20, 2006 11:03 AM

The biggest daydream I read was India recording chinese telephone call to pakistan!!! Vow...I would like to think Indian SC/ST/OBC/Hindu/Muslim wallah mafias in delhi are this good....then they must know much more about whitehouse calls and pentagon calls to pakistan. They must have all knowledge of blasts scheduled by ISI. Meow Meow......this is pure fishy speculation.....

China is wary and communist with no record of dignity for human rights. China is militarily and economically much more superior then India and is promoting hostility via pakistan. What is intension of selling arms (nukes and missiles) to pakistan? A good foreign policy would protest this and let chinese know that this type of bad neighbour behavious is not appreciated on Indian side.

Indian missiles pointed at china may strike himalays or may end up striking delhi, deviating by 10 plus degrees. Do not feel complacent. On which day had parliamentary mafias stood up for India?

China Wont do Another 1962
by Raghu on Nov 20, 2006 08:07 AM

Hi all

Its a really interesing post to see individual veiws while someone saying China can do anything while other say it can't.

Well i dont want to fall into this, but all i can say is that any nationally reknown geopolitical analysts sayings are not good enough to decide what China can do and what it cant.Because while an Analysist speaks on public platforms on such a sensitive subject, he/she cares more about what message it will convey rather than what the facts are.So do your own analysis if you have your interests in the area but dont rely much on what the analyst says.

Someone asked .. What do people of China think about Indians?

Does it matter? Do people in China have any say in what their Communist government do?

China won't do another 1962
by labrea on Nov 19, 2006 11:33 PM

India comes to the table with a weak hand, especially with a China who's a veto-wielding member of the UNSC, has a huge eceomy six time larger than India's, huge forex reserve of over $US one trillion and growing, thus giving China greater clout in her foregn policy forays. There's no comparsion - China is the shark, India is the sardine.

Chill man!!!
by Yuvraj Singh on Nov 19, 2006 02:22 PM

some ppl here r really nervous abt China attacking us...we do have the military strength to ward off any possible attacks...if in some rare case they do happen....nevertheless, China is not a fool like Pakistan..who will sacrifice their own economic growth for a stupid piece of land...and remember china is a land locked country...we and our allies with our superior navy can choke them of precious fuel...so relax and chill

China-Outsourcing.
by Shreenath Hegde on Nov 19, 2006 11:40 AM

China, very intelligently is outsourcing its plans of destablising Asian region. As soon as India-US Nuke Deal started China has almost on its own offered Pakistan all it could under the guise of N-Deal.India under UPA is buckling under pressure may opt for a N-Deal which may not give needed benefits.China has probably clandestinely supported North Korea in its Nuclear Programme. It is doing all it could to destabilise the Asia particularly India & Japan.Today there is no doubt about Pakistan exporting TERROR throughout and particularly India.China can not be trusted and should be told to stop its support to Pakistan in the interest of the world peace.

Mohan Guruswamy Needs Medication

We Indians live in fools paradise and Mohan G is no exception.. China can blow us to smithereens any day, its another thing that the country has better things to do.. which is the only subliminal point where I agree with Mohan G..
I love how the Indian armchair commentators like Mohan G use terms such as " in terms of geopolitics" ; this is the BANE of India's useless foreign policy or ...as I like to call it NO FOREIGN POLICY, instead of indulging in armchair commentary all these people should get their a@# moving and do something productive.. and for all those of you who get excited about the BRIC report and mention of India- China in the same sentence, remember this

1. The BRIC report is just a sales tool to sell emerging market instrument. There is a reason why those firms are called " sell side"

2. India- China is the biggest joke, they are eons ahead of us ,we can wallow in the glory of this democracy and free speech - but guess what free speech only breeds these idiotic conversations
