Indian-Americans political clout
by Rahul on Nov 08, 2006 09:18 PM

Why shouldn't Indians be proud of their fellow countrymen becoming successful in US politics? It will only result in greater economic and political cooperation between the two. Europeans have been doing this for hundreds of years.

Any good to india?
by Mani on Nov 08, 2006 09:03 PM

are these people doing any good to india ????

Write about indian politicians who do good to indians(there are quite a few who really deserve credit)....not NRI's who do something for other countries......

Indians?
by sukhwinder on Nov 08, 2006 07:56 PM

These comments will make sense if rediff can forward them to those six so called Indians otherwise, these comments are useless and waste of our time.

Rediff can you ask those six so called Indians what they did for India.?

Thank you.

They are americans, not Indians
by Raj on Nov 08, 2006 10:07 AM  | Hide replies

Why are these people called 'Indians'? They are all americans with Indian names. Why should we look for pride in their achievements? They gave away Indian citizenship to become americans. Being 'Indian' cannot be so cheap that you only need to have an Indian name. Rediff should be ashamed!!!

Its misleading..Can you please correct the Title. They are Non-resident Indians and Americans as citizens of first choice. Cheers!!

Is this relevant?
by Amit M on Nov 08, 2006 10:01 AM

Fascinating! I'm continuously amazed by Rediff's in-depth reporting of non-issues. Have you guys been taken over by the Times Of India group? How do the poll fortunes of US citizens (yes, US, NOT Indian) warrant such in-depth coverage?
