on nuclear missiles/ weapons and international treaty and US role
by Sundar Mani on Mar 10, 2006 12:15 AM

dear Mr. Blake:
It is well known from CIA web site that US currently has more than 5000 nuclear bombs. in comparison, india has 40 or so.

why doesn't anyone in the world (not even the other 7 G-8 countries) ask/ request/ demand/ order the US to dismantle their nuclear bombs.

what all this means is that, even the highly intellectual american businessmen in US, would out of fearing backlash from their own US government would rather be a sub-ordinate to them and would oblige to the US government's life blood threatening economic sanctions on any country that dares to develop any nuclear bombs.
and once the sanctions are in place, it just ruins millions of peoples livelihood.

regards, Ben

India - America relationship
by Ramanujam on Mar 09, 2006 11:25 PM

There is a deeper relationship between India and America than what is apparent. There is a kind of admiration and spiritual bond between the people in the two countries which inherently share the same ethos. It is a fact that we are the two large working democracies in the world. The people of the two countries share mutual respect and the Indians have a a strong romantic admiration for the great free enterprise that America is. The great American dream and adventure of free thought in all aspects of life is a shared common value in India and Indians admire the people of USA for their free spirit. I suppose there is a deep admiration in the US for the spiritual ethos of India and this will unfold more and more in days to come in a grand common vision.
It is the deeper shared values between the people of the two great countries that has kept them together in spite of the exigencies of modern day politics. In spite of all the twists and turns and the lows and highs of the relationship in the political arena between the two, the deeper common shared values never got vitiated during the past half a century of difficult years. Greater glory is yet to unfold.

Hi

It is too early to say/talk about this subject. Rather let us wait and see what happens to india in another 2 - 3 years from now, when the US takes over all the call center and IT / Outsourcing jobs from India.

Thanks
Senthil
