Not bad at all
by Kapil on Sep 19, 2006 08:20 AM

I dont think this is a bad article as people have pointed out here. I think its about expectations. We Indians definitely like emotional content. Wether its movies or writing or music. This is a plain simple article where a writer expresses his various musings about an event that is on his memory. I actually liked it because its clear that the author had no idea where he is going and its just a pure flow of thoughts that take him to the end.

But I agree to some, headbut can not be ignored. Esp becasue an Islamist Fasist is involved.

I am wondering what does Rajeev is trying to convey through this article. Being an ardent fan of Rajeev's writings, this is totally disappointing article

Worthless drivel...

Mr. Author...
what were you thinking when you wrote this article? It is of no apparent use, nor is it funny in any way! There was no entertainment or educational value... what exactly was your point?
I don't even know why I started to read this article.. I'm just sorry I wasted my own time!

by Manoj K Agarwal on Jul 11, 2006 11:56 AM

I don't know what the author of this article wants to say here. It is totally useless article and rediff should stop publishing such useless, coffee chat type of articles otherwise it may be in danger of loosing its hard earned readers...

utter rubbish!
by eden on Jul 11, 2006 11:01 AM  | Hide replies

This writer has the knack to turn anything he touches into utter garbage. He takes the game of football and uses it for hanging his usual communal sectarian notions. All his theorisations about sports indicate a shallowness which cannot be hidden. It is doubtful whether the writer knows much about football, incluing' american' football.
To top it,the guy has the cheek to teach the reader the meanings of 'hard' words (which he finds difficult, probably!), at the end of the article.

I don't know what Rediff intends to achieve by publishing such shallow, immature, badly written articles..

We should thank rediff for giving us such Hilarious articles. It is fun to read this "utter rubbish". I'm sure his next article will be titled "The Great Christian Conspiracy".
(A sort of sequel to the Da Vinci Code.) Zidane was shown the Red card on orders from the POPE! Referee bows to Secret Papal Edict! Keep it up Rajeev, lets have some more of your bull s...!! 'cause we feel sooo bored!

Not the usual article

Very disappointing for all Rajeev Srinivasan fans. No mention muslims bashing at all.

Rajeev, you can't disappoint your fans like this. You could surely have squeezed some comment like "Zidane's headbutt hasn't been condemned by any muslim".

Football Terrorism!
by Swadeshiswami on Jul 11, 2006 09:19 PM
You said it Mate! But don't worry. Rajeev's next article is going to be "Football Terrorism". Look how Zidane head butted the helpless guy.He surely has "Al-Quida" blood in him! He might have been acting under orders from Osama! He'll conclude the article with " Down with Muslim Terrorism in any form, whether it is with a bomb or with a footballer's head"!

Tripe!
by Amar Singh on Jul 11, 2006 10:46 AM

How do you explain flood of talented players to East Bengal, Mohammadan sporting and Dempo etc vis a vis NFL comparision? Does it not therefore happen here in India too? Do foreign nationals play for any football team in the soccer world cup as mercareies - if so what are their names??? If you can't name them you are talking thrash as usual! In any case if the talent from outside Europe was so good they could come to the semis like Korea did in the last world cup but if they don't then what does them in? Refereeing or??

I thought one of the themes of the world cup was a very clear - SAY NO TO RACISM!! Your article would have been mature if you mentioned it but since you did not I am not surprised.

The amount of Negroid blood in World cup teams speaks a lot for the world having moved forward!!

Back to colonial history again? When will you live for today?
