Could he have ensured parliamentary democracy? Knowing his extremist views and stubborn nature that is more notorious than Nehru, I am not very sure if we would have been a democracy at all.

Dear Raj, It seems u have not read anything worthwhile about Netaji. Please read atleast his speaches available on NET. U will realise that he respected and practiced democratic values throuout his life. He surely have stablished Democracy in our country but with a difference. And that is there maight be no place for tratiors and sycophants. Our voice does not go unnoticed in the world community and we may not be treated as a soft state.
His dream was revolution in India, which was on the verge of it in 1940's, and the only need of that time was to push it.
He wanted not a dictator but a strong party serve the nation(Not rule the nation).

Hi Folks,

Food for thought :

1. Netaji didnt lay down his life for the nation
2. He was the last invader of India (I know it is a bitter truth, but truth nonetheless)
3. At a time when even the British planned to leave India, he along with a foreign army stood outside its door step ready to attack
4. The money donated by lakhs of Indians who "invested" in the INA was never accounted for
5. If he was bold enough he could have stayed in the country and launched his movement, or did he have no faith in his fellow Indians, who might have given him away. Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev could have been his ideals.
6. He was known to be bad at negotiations. His talks with Gandhi, Britain, Hitler, Japan all yeilded no results. Infact he was more like an enslaved soldier for the Japanese army and they needed his men to die for them and his money to fund their operation.

The list is endless. I know I would be branded as an Anti Nationalist but this is the truth. Rest assured I love my country more than anyone else.

well, you are not anti-nationlist but one of the millions carried away by the congress brain-wash.when somebody takes your land, its right thing to fight for it and this man had guts to seek help outside our borders and he did try everything that he could ( single handedly).wht do u mean he dint lay his life for our nation? was he simply going on a holiday inthat flight( if thats how he died).ofcourse nehru died for our country after bringing his coterie of sycophants ( they still do that in congress after 55yrs)and gandhi, his impact on our masses are unbelievable with regard to non-violence and india until now is a soft state without a good backbone.freedom was bought over by lots and lots of people and gandhi/nehru were forerunners. But they have brought enough destruction to the indian pscyhe. U better realise that. Now, you may call me a anti-national, but i am not talking without facts and figures. My proof is current india( that was spoiled by your stupid congress)

You do not know abc of India and Indian freedom movement espacialy the movement raised by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose by his extraordinary genius to organise, to negotiate and to motivate.
Read some literature on the movement and also go to your elders (if u have any) to listen the stories of this Prince Of Patriots (This is what Gandhiji Said Him. And u.....? ). He secrificed his whole life for India's cause and was succesfull in all his motives.

No Samir, of course not. We Indians do not think you are anti-national. Why should anyone think so?

What we know for sure is that you are mad. We do not get angry at such persons. What we feel for you is not anger, but pity, lots of it.

Netaji invader
by Vijaya Kumar on Jan 27, 2006 08:59 PM
How dare you write such nonsense-you mean George Washington of United States is an invader of Americas?

The country was so shamelessley divided into tow nations with millions butchered. Only his armies would have prevented. He left his cozy ICS service and was willing to die for the cause.

The real freedom fighters are forgotten. Traitors are portrayed as the leaders. There should be limit to the indecency. Vijaya Kumar

I strongly agree with the views expressed by daughter of Netaji Bose. History could have been toptally different and with very good progress. Our luck was bad that Netaji didn't live long.

For a man who assembles INA ( Indian National Army ) outside India and attacks British ruled India to free her , anything could have been possible!
To stop Pak menace would not have been an uphill task at all (unlike contemporary politicians )for a man of his stature!
Regards.

Netaji Could have solved Pakistan Problem
by S.Vas on Jan 25, 2006 08:43 AM  | Hide replies

The statement makes amusing reading considering that the demand for Pakistan was already a powerful movement under Jinnah long before Netaji left India. It is naive to think that one individual could have aborted it.

Also whether India would have been better off without partition is moot. Very, very unlikely. In all likelihood, if partition had been avoided then, it would most likely have happened sooner or later with India losing a lot more.

Whatever happened was for the best. Also one needs to realize that Netaji's popularity soared only after he left India the way he did and formed the INA. As long as he was in India, he did not have the clout Gandhi or other leaders in the Congress had like Patel, Nehru to mention a few. He was also at loggerheads with most Congress leaders and the least with Nehru. These two had shared common ideals.

It is unfortunate that he was not around to participate in the shaping of the country after independence.

AS Omar Khayyam wrote, " the moving finger writes and having writ, moves on"....

Your knowledge of Indian History is abysmal. Your understanding of Politics is non-existent.

Netaji's efforts to obtain help from germans to liberate India was the most natural thing to do. In war, your enemy's enemy is your friend. Netaji had no personal preference for hitler. As a matter of fact, during the meeting with hitler, Netaji gave him a piece of his mind for his racist views. He repetedly pressed him to explain why hitler thought the time for Indian Freedom had not come. hitler was put on the backfoot by this intrepid Indian Leader. Consequently the meeting didnot go well. Netaji had also let the german foreign minister Ribbentrop know that Indians didnot think much of the nazis. Netaji then looked towards Japan for help.

During his voyage in the U2 submarine in 1941, he confided to his attendant Dr.Welter Norden that had he stayed back in germany he would probably have shot hitler !

So, dear madam.. please read your history again before you post such political analysis. You should know that you today owe your freedom to this great man. Any other country would have loved to have him as their own. But not India, who can only betray their greats.

Before making such ridiculous and outright idiotic statements ,it would have been judicious to atleast refer to Indian political history. When Subhash Bose asked for Purna Swaraj on the 1930s it was viewed as extremism and when Gandhi took the same stance in 1942,with the Quit India movement,it was praised and has gone down in history as am imp reason for Indian independance. As long as we as Indians are not ready to face facts and find out the true history of India, not much can be done to change the sorry state of the country. What the Gandhi dynasty did for the first 50 years to the nation is apparent.Next time please ensure you know what you are talking about before you start posting.
