Mr. Bidwai is one those jholawalas who are truly amazing in thier blinkered views. Israel a brigand ? It is the most respected and admired nation in the eyes of all powerful nations, while palestianians are arabs are viewed as primitive and savage, for all their sufferings. I wonder if we will ever have a sane, impartial 'jholawala' to write coloumns ? I dont think so. Some like TVR Shenoy and Swaminathan Aiyer comes close.

Errr......i've encountered one problem!? The basis of Pakistan wasn't 'a land of India's Muslims after the British left'(safe apparently from marauding Hindu mobs!!?), it was verily the renewal of pre-British Mughal Islamic domination over the infidels (Hindus in this case).
When the very basis for Pakistan is HATRED TOWARDS INDIA, the moment Pakistanis become our friends; that basis is destroyed and with that the reason of it's existence!! Pakistan can't remain then, can it??
Wish you all the best for your pipe dreams!! While being cozy, warm on the surface the Pakis are only scheeming for the Indian(read Hindu)civilisation's destruction! Doesn't make sense in encouraging our own destruction, does it??
