I knew DuttJi since my childhood as he was the MP of my constituency. He would smilingly visit our premises during his campaigns. I was always inspired by his willpower to keep going in life inspite of the personal tragedies he experienced at regular intervals. Another trait of his, that was so pronounced was 'Loyalty'. In ages of horsetrading & party-switching, he always stood by the political party he started with, paying no heed to its changing fortunes & wavering reputation. I guess He always believed that it is the objective - To Serve that is paramount, not power. It would be improper to classify him as a politician, but a Great Social Worker who stoically endured every storm in his Life. Our country is weakened by His loss. As He rejoins His SoulMate, I pray that, May He Find Peace. Amen.
I am shattered at Sunil Dutt's passing away at the time when his role as a politician was being applauded. A very nice human being who never ever harmed anyone in his life. The best tribute paid to this pious soul is that the Muslims and Hindus and Sikhs all join together and make a firm resolution never to fight among themselves and maintain the communal harmony at all times, come what may. They all must come together to perform a unique task never heard of before. They must perform the Kar-seva in building Ram Mandir at Ayodhya at the same site where Babri Masjid was there. This will be a bigger and master stroke tribute to Sunil Dutt. May be his death affords an opportunity to get all the communities united in the real sense.

We from Seattle can't just believe this sad news. Dutt saab had graced our Diwali program Nov.2004. I had the great fortune of introducing him at the program and hold the diya he lighted. He looked in wonderful shape. My deepest sympthies to his family. The country surely lost a great human being.
