Our country still needs a revising of law enforcement. The necessity is much more evident when a school or a college going girl is sexually assaulted. In broad day light, a school going girl is assaulted and violated in a police chowky. Hats off to all the womens organization for having taken out rallies in order to pressurize the govt to be rigorous in selecting law enforcement officials. But there is also another side of the coin which I guess many of us including me have failed to see. Lets take a look. Back in 1995, our trains used to be crowded with machchiwalis, and Jaadoowalis. I used to cringe, when they came near, why, they smell dirty, they dont bathe. They dont brush. Girls used to detest these people, throw abuses, and the most common thing would be E udhar jaana or simply hut . Well shamelessly I must admit, I used to be one of them.
Thinking about the same people, in the night when we girls have to take trains to return to our homes, where moms are anxiously waiting Where in the world is my daughter,, the same jadoowaalis, used to turn into our personal body guards, hurling abuses at eve teasers, drunkards, maniacs who just couldnt sometimes ke
Rapist in all cases should be given death sentence and procedure adopted should be such an examplory one that it will send shivers down the future criminals in the country. No lenient view of this crime can be taken.
Even if the culprit expresses his desire to marry the victim, that's no excuse or a goodwill. Instead he should be hanged to death, so that it serves as a lesson for the rest who indulge in such acts.
This is absolutely atrocious that when the judgement is about to be declared ,the rapist suddenly has become a reformed person ,and wants to marry the victim. He should be severely punished so that people would get lesson that such act would not be ever repeated
Excellent that the rape victim refused to marry. The rapist should be hanged. Clearly the rapist 'reformed' moments before the court was about to pass a judgement against him....and Oh boy...now he basses the ball into the victim's court sounding magnanimous that he is ready to marry a 'rape' victim..stigmatised that the victim is now, clearly no one in our 'society' will marry her...So, the victim should consider herself lucky that he is 'still' willing to marry her...heinous..attrocious...utterly despicable..
I beg to the my lord chief justice and president of India to hang this rapist and teach bloody criminals of our society a lesson. how could he think to marry such a courageous lady who is not inferior to Jahnsi Ki Rani Laxmibai (she also reminds me the bravery of Sanwari Devi from Rajasthan and Phoolan Devi from MP). There should only one punishment to a rapist death and not less than it at any cost. I salute to the victim and pray to her dont even think about this rapist as he is more painful and devil than a murderer. there is still time to change our society and nation from soft towards criminals and enemies to take firm and decisive actions. its shame on our culture as people in developed nations feel that we have money and power democratic rule and peoples democracy. jai hind
