Compensation for damages during Bandh
by S.Nizamuddin on Jun 25, 2005 01:04 AM

Dear Sirs,
The High Court took right decision to pay compensation by the agenceis who were responsible for the bandh. With this action, the parties responsible for Bandh will go for peaceful agitation or else they think twice before damaging the public properties.

fining the p0olitical parties for bandh
by setty on Jun 24, 2005 03:29 AM

High court took correct decision and it should keep up the same policy with all the parties. There is no bias in this ,, if someone says that then he/she must be biased for himelf to a sepcific party may be BJP/Shivsena.

Why is only the BJP-SS targetted ?
by Avinash on Jun 23, 2005 03:58 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Readers,

We have a biased judiciary in the country.
So many political parties call bandhs, but there are
not targeted by the courts.

Other party activist also use violence during bandhs.
The BJP and SS should refuse to pay the fine.

If need be the right wing in india should start a military wing , just like the communist did.
The communist parivar has various military arms like MCC, PWG etc.

Both AGNI, a non-government organisation; theatre personality Alyque Padamsee; and former municipal commissioner B G Deshmukh. hate the BJP and SS.

Do theses people target other parties ?

Dear Avinash,
This is a secular country so all other parties are secular & secular will not b punished. We better know that how many times BANDH is called by this RED FLAGS Communist the BNADH Which destroyed MUMBAI MILLS.

I ask our Court and the so called honourable judges who have given this Order that how many times they have fined SOLICITARS who go on strike or the employees of their own court.

I never knew that someone could have so much sympathy for any political party in India. You said why some specific party was targetted. Be thankful to Indian Court that they atleast made a start. And if it was congress then someone would have said 'why Congress'. You cann't make start in that case.

And non payment of fines would make the country worst. Noone thinks that he/she was wrong. Still, many people have to pay fines. And if all says that they were right and refuse to obey court orders then there can me nothing worst than that.

And molitary is never a good solution. Its the end solution when the situation goes out of control. Countries avoid thes and I am surprised that some people are in favor of this.

Voilence is not the only drawback. Companies lose money. Why should I be forced to close my factory if I don't want to?

Doesn't matter who hates whom. If someone dragged the other to loss making situation then he/she should be punished.

What you get by imposing bandh forcefully. If people are wiling then it should be given some thought. What if you were running that company or if due to some bandh like this you couldn't buy important medicine for your mother?

Bombay HC's order fining BJP and Shiv Sena
by P. S. Subramanian on Jun 23, 2005 03:52 PM

It is only thru such orders that it is possible to discipline political parties and preventing them from resorting to irresponsible behaviour. The penalty should be heavy enough to discourage political parties from engaging in activities which paralyse normal life.

by vikas on Jun 23, 2005 03:01 PM

Who had asked to compensate the loss,, where will the money go which will be recovered ,, will it go to the government fund,, if yes then I fell the actual loss would not have been only 20 Lakh but much much more than that.

who had assesed the amount o loss is it the respected court or the person filling the case.
