I sympathise with the recent Indian Governments that have been honouring NRI's/PIO's every January for the past few years. Its a waste of expenditure.
Some of these NRI's exhibit nothing but arrogance and show contempt for fellow Indians as well. This is true of "temple trustees" and several doctors in the US. Some of them are arrogant.
Let Indian government impose income-tax on its citizens, living anywhere in the world. I will tell you, the clamouring for dual-citizenship or for that matter jostling for space in the annual NRI event will reduce. This will reveal the true colour of majority of the NRI's.
