Action agaisnt COng Minisiter: DMK
by s subramanyan on Feb 27, 2005 04:41 PM

Though this spat between a congress minister form TN and the DMK can be dismissed as a comic opera, it should be stated that the DMK is acting out of proportion. Why should it focus its ire on a young congress leader? All that he has been saying is the expectation of a Kamaraj Rule back and that Congress should share power. It is merciful of the DMK to ahve gracefully conceded the right of the congress to expect to share power but only finding that it is not the ripe time. But its going to the jugular of the young congress minister is unbecoming.

Congress is a non-existent force in TN. It is hoped that in their anxiety not to hurt the DMK's pride and safeguared the alliance, the Congress does not punish its young TN leader - a dwindling species in TN. Instead Congress should begin to sow its own seeds for possible future and quicker growth.
