If SINS movie is baned frm releasing it will became another sin commited by the catholic community. Don't they know the child molestation and rape by these priests. The fime should be released without any cuts.

Withhold release of Sins
by Sam Kapoor on Feb 24, 2005 09:58 AM

It would be far better if the Catholic church tries to control the behaviour of Priests in their curches who molest nnocent boys and girls instead of withholding the release of a film. Why did they not block the sale of a best selling novel,"Thornbirds" which has a similar story as the film or why did the Catholic church not block a TV serial based on the same book which won many awards. The film does not hurt their religious beliefs,it is about a human and humans do err be them Catholics,Hindus,Muslims, etc. In case they do not know the film, "Last Temptation of Christ" was made by a Roman Catholic. Their resistance to the release of this film will only make it more noticed and a Bigger Hit.

Minority comission exposed!
by jeev on Feb 24, 2005 09:11 AM

The organizations such as minority comission, etc raise hue and cry when Hindu organizations protest against films like Fire and Water in the name of intelectual freedom.
Now by objecting to Sins these people have exposed their true colors.
Are there no incidencies of christian priests getting involved in sex-scandals, paedophilia, etc.?
The film depicts only reality and should not be banned at any cost.

Ridiculous!
by nwsredr on Feb 23, 2005 11:55 PM

Why does the Catholic community have to get so defensive and self-righteous? Here in the U.S, more than 4,000 catholic priests have been accused of sexual abuse and many have been convicted. I also know of at least two priests of Indian origin who have been convicted of sexual abuse. It is not as if the director is making things up.
