Church questions NCM claim

Much as the Church may try to deny their conversion activities in the North East, the fact is that conversion activities have been going on undisturbed all these decades. While on a visit to Khatmandu several years ago, I found a comprehensive news item in a Nepalese English daily of how Christian misionaries have been luring poor students in the border districts.
The congress governemnts at the centre and the communist governments of WB are totally responsible for having brought about this situation.

conversion alarm
by George Pallipparambil on Feb 21, 2005 07:51 AM

The alarm bells about conversion were silent for a fw months and India was breathing peace. Here now comes the false alarm raised by none other than the chairman of the minorities commission.
What idea has mr. Sing got about Christianity or conversion? Why should that coward in a national costume run to Kochi to speak about North east? Could he not do it in the soil of North east?
Could he not meet a few such converts and find facts for himsef? Whom is he trying to save? Is he not a fanatic who still longs "for the onions of Egypt?".(the old BJP days)
I hope the present government will remove hoim and put sensible balanced normal citizens in such bodies.

Sing should resign for such irreponsible axtions and statements and false alarms.
