Vanisree
A living Angel :-)
by Vanisree on Dec 02, 2005 03:03 PM

It is World Aids Day on Thursday 1 December.
I came across a very intresting article with tittle "Women who redefined POSITIVE". It proved my intrest to know the details of the article.
The world's second most populous country has one of the highest infection rates - and more than five million HIV/Aids cases. To counteract the spread of the virus, the government recently launched its biggest anti-Aids initiative to date. But efforts are hampered by the fact that most Indians still find sex and Aids taboo subjects.
When still most of the indians consider talking about sex and aids as a social taboo...people like Kouslaya have proved that women r stronger and inspite of being HIV positive life still means a lot to them and also have proved to be a great figher and contributor to the society through out their life.
I don't consider her as women...for me she is an living angel. I have heared about angles when I was young from my mother...after reading the article I saw an real life living angle.
Kousalya be proud of who u are and continue your work. Its been a pleasure reading about you. I apprecaite your work for the society :-)

Kausalya

When the world tends to live in self-pity, your courage is attracting a lot of appreciation and admiration from all around you...hats off to you dear friend. I do not know how I can help, so can you tell us what the 'negative' people can do to support the 'positive'?

Ms. Koushalya and Ashok...... Positive Persons in the Real sense.
by Malcolm Alvares on Dec 01, 2005 05:33 PM

It's a very sad and touching story of these two Positive persons.

We strong persons are not really strong from the inside. When people hear of AIDs, they turn cold.

It's a really touching story to read . Both need a Hug and a pat on their back for taking life in a positive sense even after the attack of the dreaded virus.

The Govt. needs to wake up and do much more for the Aids patients.

Most important, the Govt. should frame a national law to make is mandatory to all prospective brides and grooms to furnish the HIV test report before getting married irrespective of caste or greed. This is one way which will help to reduce AIDs population as young and innocent Brides ( mostly ) are enjected with this Virus on their special night. What more painful can this be than anything else. Let's stand and stop this injustice immediately.

Income tax exemption should be given for contribution made towards organisations who are treating AIDs patients as most of them cannot efford this treatement and many are orphans and childrens. By giving income-tax rebate or exemption, many people will come forward can help a national cause.

Can I write more on this.
