All my non-christian friends enquired about this event and they know a lot in depth too! I am amazed that you know all the 99% of the NRIs and did they all come running to U and complain??? Looking at the fact you mentioned NRIs and assuming you to be one too then why are you out of India and accusing the Media about getting Western??? If you want something to be covered Request the Media but dont blame them! Do U seem to know what Westernization and Propagation are? Are you scared reading all these articles, people are going to get converted??? Pope is a World-Leader and He leads the Catholic Church. Arent elections covered and the results announced.isn't this similar..do U consider this as Propagation?
I dont know why it is being made such a big deal. Rediff does not cover the Bramhmotsavam in tirupati, but covers the election of pope in vatican. infact 99% of NRI's dont care what happens in Rome. I think Indian Media is also getting crazy about everything Western. Please stop this propagation of catholicism.
