Sigh . . . . I don't even know what to think after this. We Indians have a LONG way to go.

But what was that guy talking about? We made absoutely no progress during the English Dicatorship. We grew at 1% a year. Today we grow at 7/8%. What's that guy talking about?

But we have a LONG way to go . . . .

well.., i really didnt understand the morale of that story. so is the author trying to say that its better to be slaved under outside rulers and the whole struggle of independence for 200 years was a mere wastage of time or is he saying pointing out the ignorance of a cab driver???

well if he was reffering to the first point, i think its better for him to stay back there and dont come to India. India doesnt need such people. but if he is stating the second opinion its better he mentions it somewhere.so people like me dont get misleaded.I still dont understand how come India has chosen Sonia Gandhi,I have no hardfeelings about congress but do they dont have anyother single able leader than sonia gandhi??, its high time BJP and other parties learn from their mistakes or else after 5 years it would be rahul gandhi as PM and so on the legacy of Gandhi familes ruling India and people thinking that having Gandhi's name attached to our names can do miracles continues forever.

I pray to GOD that people change and their attitudes change. There were and are better leaders in Indian History and in present India than people with Gandhi n Nehru lineage.try to remember n emulate them.

Do you want to be told a morale in every story you are told. Can't you just enjoy the humour in the story and move on?

Jai Hind, Jai Sonia Gandhi

I feel there is a truth in Pradeep's sentence. We indians fare well under foreign rule. We indians can say 'Jai Hind' if we can say 'Jai Foreign Rule'.

WE INDIANS DEFINATELY GOT INDEPENDENCE BUT WE COULDNT GET RID OF THE MENTALITY WHICH GOT CROPED INTO OUR MIND OR OUR BLOOD DURING THE YEARS OF COLONIAL RULE .WHAT CAN BE A BETTER WAY TO FOLLOW MAHATMA GANDHI'S UNIVERSAL PRINCIPAL - IF YOU ARE SLAPED ON ONE CHEEK PUT YOUR OTHER ONE INFRONT.THRASED BY YEARS OF COLONIAL RULE HERE WE ARE AGAIN READY FOR ANOTHER FOREIGN RULE.
