Penalize heavily those who infringe into reasonable rights of others
by B.Gautam on Jun 13, 2004 02:33 PM

The bodies or parties, whichever may be, should realize that every life has right to live the way it would like to as far as it is not reasonably harmful to any other single life.
If they hold any bandh or rally without indulging in arson, loots or any other form of violence that inflicts or hurts even feelings of others and finally infringes into others' rights to live peacefully, well, they can be free to hold such agitation! A peaceful march without any least disturbance to others can be permitted.
People should rise to live as respectful citizens and should come out of that savagic ideas and acts in a civilized era of thoughts and actions.
Yes, any other action that inflicts or hurts others any harm should not only be heavily penalized but should also be jailed!

Bandhs and Morchas political parties.
by k.v.menon on Jun 11, 2004 10:35 PM

Long long back late EMS (CPI (M) once told to
break the law within the constitution.. That time
I thought it was a joke.later I understood what he
meant by that.
In Kerala for each and everything whether it is
a court order, high court order, supreme court order
or any resolution passed by assembly there is strike
or morcha or a bandh causing a lots of problems to public, loss of property and even killings. Despite
several warnings from high court still their routine
work is going on.

Comparing that Mumbai bandh after the bomb blast in
Ghatkopar is quite neglegible. I am not justifying
the bandh. I expect everybody including political
parties should honour court verdicts.
But indirectly many people in the name of caste and
religion with the support of political parties
ignore court orders. For example use of loud speakers in religious places. This amount to
contempt of court. and this is called
BREAK THE LAW WITHIN THE CONSTITUTION.

I am glad to hear that High Court would impose fine on parties calling bandhs and agitations. yes, it stops the menace of bandhs and agitations.
