Dear AKQ & SANMAN:

You have both got it wrong. AKQ has been answered well enough by SANMAN (S) but the way he went about
causing a bluff from his own tongue (accusing President Bush of having wrongly invaded Iraq is as much like saying that Saddam Hussain should have been applauded for minimising the power of UN).

Chum - President B had very generously offered Saddam an option of exile - life in entirety and prosperity to Iraq under another leadership. If this ever happened, then where would have President B getting excuse for invading. To be precise, President B had never intended to invade Iraq much less use Iraq for his own election purposes. These are mongerings of some disgruntled elements here in India as well as all over the world. By stating that President Bush was wrong to invade Iraq, you have only put your own foot in your moutn. Because, even today, America is exhorting the world to join its forces to suppress terrorism. His intent was pure - I can vouch for it, else he would not have ventured to lose out popularly or opinionwise and allow the nation to be butchered by a handful of terrorists merely for self esteem !

akq,
your reply is like the accusation that israelis caused 9/11. it's an ugly type of libel. I agree that Bush was wrong to invade Iraq, but to pretend he had anything to do with 9/11 is ludicrous. I see that too many Muslim activists are spouting the fake lie that Bush was part of the 9/11 plot, and that Muslim militants are not responsible for their own actions.

I agree with author that ISI might have wrong footed their counterpart in CIA on Pakistan desk.or
PM might have discounted operational ability of Alquaide/Taliban from mis information of Ex ISI operatives, Who Knows US politician wants to coverup all this traces

I totally agree with Mr. B Raman, all the relatives of the 9/11 victims and the responsible authorities should ask for the answers to US govt. infact we all should fight for it in all the possible ways. At least now US should understand that Pakistan has played a double game which it has been doing since last 50 years with India. I really hope this article is taken seriously and that at least now US wakes up upon the policies Pakistan (Parvez Musharraf) has been playing. And most importantly attack Pakistan the way it has attacked Taliban (for a valid reason) and now Iraq (unnecessarily). In other words, "destroy" Pakistan!

Good work Mr. B Raman, keep it up!

Regards,
Gauzy

The US authorities should see this
by Lak on Jul 27, 2004 09:02 PM

I always feel pained and appalled at the way the US gives a Nelson's eye to the inhuman and fundamentalist activities of the ISI. Maybe we Indians have to produce conclusive evidence to the US media. These days, a lot of Americans are writing books on Iraq and terror. Perhaps, a great book on Pakistan's complicity in aiding and abetting terrorists and cleverly marketed with the help of the US media, should help us in having a voice. The iNdian government can throw up its hands and say that it cannot stop its citizens , especially expatriates, from writing books. It is against all norms of democracy to do so. After the 9/11 commission report was out, I saw a lot of articles in some leading newspapaers and discussions on a leading news channel about how Iran is linked to al-Qaeda. No mention of Pakistan at all! It beats me. Now, after reading this, I know that at least some Indians are debating this issue with the Americans. We need to do something fast!
