Iran's double game and world politics
by Vivek on Jul 21, 2004 12:45 PM

The article by Hamid Mir exposes the dangerous games that countries play and the deception that they practice to achieve their own ends through whatever means. If America tries to further its own interest through a presence in the region by deception on Saddam's WMD and the like, Iran have proved that they too are not far behind with their native cunning. And it seems Iran is winning this round. When America moves out as it must, Iran will have its eyes fixed on India to achieve the Islamic fundamentalist's dream of "Dar-ul-Islam" in our country. Whether or not Iran will make a dent will depend on our rulers. Given the propensity of the state to bend its back over in accession to the minorities' demands, I will not be surprised if we are up for some hard times ahead. As with America, Iran proves that it has its own agenda.

And before any responses are made to this comment on the grounds of religion, let me just say one thing - whatever gives or takes, anything which will not allow me to live my life the way I see fit (and that does not include a life at the expense of others) is simply unacceptable. If I am branded a minority baiter for this comment, so be it. What else is new?

Do U trust these US intelligence anymore?
by shailesh on Jul 21, 2004 02:32 AM

Can U trust US intelligence any more? I am currently in US. Though it has been proved that there was a complete intelligence failure from US side about the Weapons Of Mass destructions (WMD) in Iraq. This was the only reson US attacked Iraq by suspecting it by violating all UN laws. Do not forget that 3 out of 5 sitting permanant security council countries in UN opposed the move to attack Iraq. Still US and UK attacked it by giving the reason that Saddam has got WMD.
How come we trust that Iran is doing anything wrong? What's the difference between Bush and Saddam? Saddam invaded Kuwait and Bush invaded Iraq. So should other country invade US now? Who has given rights to create this chaos in Iraq? These mideast countries has no history of democracy. So far they had only kings and rulers. Can Bush say to king of Saudi to step down and create the democracy in Saudi? Why to experiment with Iraq. Totally disgusting. And now US is targeting Iran. Absolutely shameful. Who will trust the US intelligence?
Do not forget when India did this nueclear test, after they announce in the press conference, till then the US was clueless. Their satellite surveillance failed to detect it.

Now it's Iran's time to pay up and next...
by Abdul Ghani on Jul 20, 2004 07:00 PM

The Americans and their media (such articles as posted above) are paving the way for picking one country at a time.

First it was Iraq..., now it is Iran..., once Iran is done with... the next reason will be - all the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia - we need to end terrorism from the roots and hence it will be their time... And some sham reasons like the ones given here will be used against the more economically powerful states like Kuwait and UAE...

Hamid ... we are waiting for more of your articles...

Irans Double Game
by Kumar on Jul 20, 2004 05:23 PM

Pakistan is the biggest double gamer, Iranians cannot defeat them in that Game. Interestingly the pakistani author of these articles conveniently skipped Pak role in all these years till this day.

And if Zawahri is involved in the bomb attacks at kerbala and najafhow can the iranians help him .
Why wud zawahri help iran form a shia state in baghdad when he himself is against shias.
Please get ur basics right before writting such pro american propoganda (which we all seen before iraq war accusing iraq) ...old wine in new bottle
