interview Pak not ready for Democracy
by Raju Raina on May 18, 2005 04:50 PM

The interview was nice but i fail to understand what pakistan's stand is, they are crying for refugees from afgainstan but can one answer who was taking warmth when afganistan was burning under taliban regime. Pakistans ploicies change with time and seasons, whichever they feel is good for them at that moment. And who was controlling army at that time the so called elected Preident of Pakistan who is trying to sell himself to the west asthe only one who can control fundementalisam in pakistan, wasn't he the one who was at the forefront when fundemantakisam was on the rise. Post 9/11 he changed his colour and from time to time he changes them to his liking. The recent one "he is not going to step down as president of Pakistan".

Pakistan & Pakistanis will not change.
by suraj on Sep 10, 2004 05:32 PM

Dear Friends,
there is no nerve in this interview. All said & done roots back to Kashmir and terrorism. Our interviewers are always behind filling up a cover story & get accolades debarring that they are Indians first.
Pakistanis cannot be believed, trusted or befriended & that holds true for Miliatary & Civilians too.
My hatred is not of todays context but there is history behing it. Do we forget 3 wars against Pakistan, Kargil, Attack on Parliament & Akshardham, funding of terrorism by Pakistan & Forign militants who are killing people & our soldiers in Kashmir. So
also their Open support for Kashmir liberation, talks with Hurriyat, No most favoured Nation with India for trade.
Who are we appeasing, AMERICANS GREATEST TERRORIST OF THE WORLD who are financing Pakistan for years for Arms & Ammunition used against India in wars. Why appease Americans as they do not support us on Kashmir & terrorism.
I wish to tell people of my country & Govt. to stop all this Crap of friendship & Peace untill Pakistanis stop all these bullshits perperating on our country & so do all the Media hyping it to fulfill their business misdemeneaours.

Pak and democracy
by CS Muralidhar on Sep 07, 2004 07:25 PM

I fully agree with Talukdar. The interviewer is sure smitten by the interviewee. What all Indian journalists need to keep in mind while interviewing Pakistanis is that:(1)while not a single Indian (Hindu, Muslim or Christian)terrorist has ever been spotted either in Pakistan or elsewhere in the world, Pak terrorists are a scourge on this earth, especially in India.Pakistan keeps breeding hatred against India in the minds of its people. Why is this so?Some journalists will argue that India also breeds hatred.I ask, how? What is the evidence?(2)Does every Pak interviewee know that while Pakistani terrorists have killed more than 100,000 innocent Indians by acts of terrorism on Indian soil even in far off Indian cities, India has saved lives of over 2 thousand Pakistanis by providing life-saving medical treatment in some of our finest hospitals. The hordes of Pakistanis in B'lore hospitals is seen to be believed.Ask them about the terrorist acts of Pakistan, they bow their head in shame. They cannot believe the kind of treatment they get in B'lore. They are totally mesmerised.Read the letters put up in the noticeboards in the hospitals. How come no journalists touch this issue in interviews?

Leading questions
by Rudra Talukdar on Feb 14, 2004 03:55 AM

The interview had so many leading questions, it made my head spin. Eg: "He is trying to emulate Kemal Ataturk isn't he?" And so on. The interviwer seemed smitten by the interviewee. That is always a danger. No follow up questions asked. For eg. why is a film on Kashmir "classified"? I sure would like to know...

Musharraf's dream
by A .Chaudri on Feb 10, 2004 04:57 AM

"He wants a secular, forward, progressive Muslim country"
This is a line from your article above about Musharaf's aim about Pakistan . He may be a product of old Hindu genes but what sort of an oxymoron is that?
