As a child in school some 35 yrs ago I read my first book in fiction and it was Sherlok Holmes Book..! and since then I hold him as a great hero.Solving most difficult mysteries with simple Cause & Effect theory.Hats off to Sir Arthur for creating a legend sans period.

Hi,
Your article on the famous detective triggers a wave of nostalgia.
Sunday afternoon i guess it used to come on Television. Another equally entralling series was Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot. The famous Belgian Detective charming the English, his fondness for perfection, "the little grey cells mon ami", the last page unfolding of the case.
Truly Classics of that era.

When did Holmes change his residence?
by pg vijairaghavan on Feb 06, 2004 04:04 PM

Sherlock Holmes is forever; he is there in the shadows of the 21st century irrespective of the fact that his creator didn't even survive the 19th century! The timelessness of his creation is enough to commemorate him! Holmes was such a stickler for the truth and facts, and one of the finest ever detectives of this age - would he make the mistake of erring on the address on his visiting card which he is said to have handed to the author of this piece?
