Time to change
by Sreesha Sreenivasan on Mar 01, 2006 07:08 PM

"India shining" - Yes it is. Propelled by the economic growth and the general optimism created more and more women are stepping out to be a part of this action. The action of work and labour that is taking this country to greater heights and sending the sensex soaring. It is imperative that the women are not only assured security and growth but also incentives to balance her family and professional life. That is the least SHE deserves.

She wants to start life afresh
by Naveen Raman on May 05, 2005 08:30 AM

I appreciate this girl's will power. And request my god not to harm people like her.And would ask the government to help her immediately as soon as possible.I don't want them to close this file as they do for other innocent people.I would like to request the judge dealing this case to push the culprit for life imprisonment. And tell girl that, not to worry and to remember that there are lot of people who will support her including me.

Dear Meenakshi
by aruna paulose on Feb 09, 2004 06:14 PM

My only request to the authority is that they should give severe punishment to the rapist (not only bhura but others too). Let it be a lesson for the rapist before they stretch their hands to rape innocent girls.

I am really very happy to know that people are helping Meenakshi in every possible way. Even Ms. Shiela Dixit has promised to get a good and SECURED job for her (i hope she keeps her promise), which is a very good step. Thank you very much mam for the kind and noble step you have taken.

Really sorry to read about the incident. The criminal should be given the most dreadful punishment ever given. This wont bring the poor victim her eyes back so she should be compensated Rs 10 lakhs by the hospitals. The Hospitals at fault as we all know are still running unaffected, this is a shame on the authorities part. I appreciate the effort by National Womens Association. But are they the only ones who can help the victim...
We all will have to come forward to protest against these crimes and put pressure on the Govt. to make the law more strict.
Also if any of these small or Govt. hospitals cannot handle emergency cases, they should be shut down.
Best of luck, and speedy recovery.May God bless you.

Punish All
by himanshu on Dec 21, 2003 07:14 PM

The biggest problem faced by India is lack of accontability in Govt. sector. The crime committed by the accused is no doubt unpardonable but the guys in hospitals are no lesser criminals, they should also be punished in the same manner as the accused. These hospital guys do this because they know that they will not be made accountable for the loss of her eyes.If they are punished severly then only they will learn how it feels to loose one's eyes

The Hospitals should also be sued for Negligence
by Arun Lester on Nov 22, 2003 10:25 AM

The Shanti Mukund Hospital and the government hospitals must be sued for negligence, since their carelessness is also responsible for her to be in such severe state. It is the responsibility of the employer to take care of the employees when on duty.
