Kudos to Mumbai Police
by Niks on Sep 02, 2003 11:00 AM

Great job! But prevention is always better than cure. Now the question is how long is our LEGAL process going to take to punish the culprits?

Such a petty case
by suresh on Sep 02, 2003 09:32 AM

The Mumbai police and the goverment (Bhujbal)feels as if they have done a great job. Look at the prepatuators of the crime, ordinary people. If our police takes 1 year and 3-4 repeat crimes to catch such people, what happens when professionls are involved ? I would definitely feel scared to be living in Mumbai with such cops and a lazy irresponsible goverment.

Congrat to police force but ...
by Zaigham A. Kazmi on Sep 02, 2003 03:49 AM

First congratulation to police forces for solving the case and arresting the terrorists. But the problem has not been solved yet. Whether one wants to admit it or not, Gujarat link is there. If not a direct link then an indirect by the contrast between the handling of these two cases. While the minority terrorism is being handled agressively as it should be, the majority terrorism has come to be accepted as norm. From Delhi to Bombay to Gujarat we have seen the active role of police in supporting the massacres, but nothing has been done. Not even a slap on the wrist. None of the heavyweights in these massacres have been punished. The government needs to realize that so far muslim community has not supported terrorism but they need to work to sustain that attitude. And the only way to do that is to establish trust in the system by handling terrorism fairly. Lets face it terrorism a vicious cycle of violence and does not help anyone. But more importantly it is true of minority terrorism as well as majority terrorism. Majority community can't keep supporting VHP, bajrang dal and then turn back and criticize bomb blasts.

Wishing a better tomorrow.
Thanks Zaigham A. Kazmi

I am ashamed of Indian intelligence
by Gajanan Dusane on Sep 02, 2003 01:59 AM

When I read mumbai police cracked the twin blast case in a week, and see pictures of those policemen in media coverage, I really feel ashamed of their illogical bravery.
I just dont know how come it can happen again after 1992 bomb blast? Why is the intelligenc failure? why we should be proud of them for cracking the case?

Anti-terrorism cell, CID, CBI, RAW and mumbai police what coordination they have? I think there need to be a clear policy to share intelligence among these. Also the corrupt officials should be removed from anti terror cell who instead of investigation of a real crime investigate from where they can get balck money.

There are moles of ISI, Don Ibrahim is Mumbai police as well as in Anti terroor cell because of whom culprits are still at large.

Gujarat revenge ???
by Nazia on Sep 02, 2003 12:42 AM

It's all farce. There real motive might be still hidden. I will ask a question. if Gujarat revenge was the motive then Why they were killing muslims also ?
In my opinion, these psychic should be punished immdiately. Or better bring them back to zaveri bazar and let people handle them.

catching of suspects in bombing
by vikram kale on Sep 01, 2003 10:02 PM

Dear Editor,Every time you say a bomb blast, you recall Gujrat riots. How many times anybody recalls these bombings and Hindu Pandits in Kashmir. When you recall Babri Masjid,Does anybody recount how many innocent people are killed by blasts and how many temples had been demolished in Kashmir alone, leave aside rest of India.
