The state should be integrated with India in all respects. All the problems will gradually vanish. Giving independent identities to states which are adverse to the country's interest will be a stumbling block in nations integrity
By making the issue milder, Ghulam is in fact unknowingly letting half the game slip from the hands of India. Ghulam, being a senior - a rather very sernior - leader of the congress should have and must have learnt the fine art of calling a spade a spade.
Why not call terrorism rather than militancy. Who is Ghulam trying to appease by making the issue milder than it really is.
It is indeed unrealistic to expect the damn thing to vanish all by itself. You live in a fools' paraise if you do. Serpents need to be destroyed fully.
The realistic approach is to weed them out and crush them, earlier the better, rather than indulging into political bhashanbajee !!!
Is it unrealistic to expect anything better from Congress aprty and its leaders, considering the following facts. 1) When Kashmir problem was about to be solved by our miltary in 1948, p-sec nehru called our army back! 2) Then he took the kashmir to UN when it was an internal matter of India 3) Indian army reached Lahore in 1965, but Congress government forced the army to come back to barracks! 4) When we had one lakh pakistani prisoners of war and when we had all the means to settle the kashmiri issue for good, nehru's daughter and congress prime minister squandered the golden opportunity to solve the dispute forever! 5) When lakhs of hindus and sikhs and other kafirs were systematically eleiminated in the name of jehad in pakistan and kashmir after partition, congress party kept quiet, for reasons known only to them 6)Congress, for reasons perhaps of vote bank politics have no interest in solving kashmir militancy and in solving the Kashmir problem and it is natural for Mr Asad to say otherwise!
'It is unrealistic to expect J&K militancy to vanish' let us have a look on the other unrealistic things about J&K. 1) It is unrealistic to expect that Kashmiri Pundits will return to valley in near future. 2) It is unrealistic to expect that Pakistan will abandon it's Jihadi mentality. 3) It is unrealistic to expect that Hindu Migrants to J&K (from Pakistan) will get any rights even after 55 years of independence. 4) It is unrealistic to expect that people of Laddhakh and Jammu will have any saying in this whole fiasco. 5) It is totally realistic to expect that p-sec and Congressi will praise the historic achievement of Vajpayee Govt. of conducting free an fair election in J&K.
