BLUE STAR
by Ishvinder Singh on Jun 07, 2003 05:51 AM

19 Years on, Bluestar still remains a sore and an emotive issue. While what has happened was the most shameful incident it is time that we move on.

By the way the "robe of hounour" can be better termed as "siropa" by rediff. I guess you guys have become more white than the people who read rediff themselves. Most of the NRI'S including my Hindu and Christian friends know what a SIROPA is you don't need to misinterpret it.

Grow up!!

This should be treated illegal
by Ashish on Jun 07, 2003 01:56 AM

I don't understand politics in Punjab, who's right who's not...
But I sure think that as long as the official stand by Govt. of India, about Operation Blue Star is that, it was an operation to flush out terrorists/militants from Suvarna Mandir, NO body / organization should be declaring any of those killed in this operation, as 'martyrs'.
This must be treated as a direct violation of govt's policy / view. And as a praise to our defence forces' enemy.
Tomorrow these people may decide to declare Satwant and Beant Singh as their new martyrs!!!

This is WRONG!

-Ashish.
