Sheela ....The Spin Meister par excellence
by Babu Prasad on Jul 30, 2003 09:36 PM

Who knows for sure whether sending our troops is good for our nation/people or not ? But you on your part seem to be neither a Senior(Journalist) nor an editor. You seem to be desperately spin meistering and moulding/manipulating India's public opinion for the whole Middle East Project from the get go on behalf of who knows whom.

If our troops ever go, it should benefit the whole nation(especially the poor/deprived sections from where most of the soldiers hail) and not some elite, obnoxious fat cats/pigs winning the contracts.

Its pretty obvious that no one refuses as the peacekeeping forces get paid several times more then what they get paid in India, its gives them a good chance to make quick money, amongst the defence force personnel there is fierce competition to get into a peacekeeping missing abroad be it somalia or sudan, the person who has better "contacts" generally gets the go ahead.

Good Reading

I have allways enjoyed the writing of millitary personal , they have a rare talent to depict the situation right in front of our eyes , the words of the writer are well chosen and effective. It also makes us proud over the fact that we Indians are more acceptable and trusted then the Whites. My only wonder is if India , Pakistan ,Bangladesh & Srilanka can cooperate nicely in a UN mission why cant they be the same near the border , except when it is a war situation.Lets take this oppertunity to Congratulate our soldiers and salute their bravery & skills not to mention their sacrifice.
