I totally agree with your views.Steps should be taken to stop the judiciary being a mockery, causing lot of harm to the people who seek impartial justice. The corrupted should be punished.

It is high time that judiciary is made accountable. In a recent poll survey it was found that more than 90% people consider judiciary as corrupt. How come in a democratic country they get scot-free even after serious charges are levelled against them more often than not(most common being bribery and sexual favour)? Are they above the law of the land?

This is a purposeful and nicely written artical by Arvind Lavakare.Nowadays lawyers wait to file/run a case till they get the judge of their choice.I was told this is only in lower courts but higher courts also are affected. It is the judiciary on which public depends for survival. There certainly should be a proper accountibility and deterrant for judges also

article on judicial system

It is very excellent article by mr Arvind Lavakare raised on the corruption in our judiciary system. being a law graduate and representing a corporate house in the court of law I can say that we get only adjournment where cases are not speeded up due to judicial attitude and judgements are are not delivered in a reasonable time even after final hearings are completed. what does it mean? a scarcity of time or desire?

Being a law student myself i believe that all stand equal before the law.The Judges are the Pillars which support the institution of law.Therfore in the event of misconduct by such respected authorities they should be made accountable for their acts. This article written by Arvind Lavakare is a true indicator of the state of affairs in the democratic country of India.

Yes indeed, there has to be a mechanism in place to judge the judges. But then, we have to blame ourselves for this state of affairs. Each one of us takes a partisan stand with respect to 'his own' when it comes down to brass tacks. And thereby hangs a tale....
