I am wildly surprised that the authorities were capable of detecting that their air-space had been violated. Was it a chance occurance or is that those responsible for keeping vigil over their country's airspace actually have gotten their act together and now can be deemed as "professional". Who knows?

Airspace incursion by American Aircrafts

The intelligence information as brief by your paper is true that Pakistani ATCs misguided the Conco Engg.'s aircraft on it wasy return trip from Karachi, then it is a dangerous and irresponsible act by the ATC. India should immediately take up the issue with international bodies and ensure that necessary actions are taken against the conspiracy hatched by the Pakistan Governemnt (ATCs are professionals and cannot willfully misguide the aircrafts without coercion by the authorites who employ them) as well as obtain guarantee that no such adventures will be attempted by them in the future.

The incident and the conspiracy has atleast two objectives in mind :

a) Force the Indian authorities to shoot down an American aircraft and thus restrain the relationship between the two governments.

b) Cause an accident in which human and material losses are inflicted as the airspace segment was not permitted to be used until 1800 hrs. and the aircraft in question flew the segment during the prohibited timings.

Also the angle of involvement of the crew in question should also be investigated thoroughly and all the flight record data as well as conversations between the pilot and Paki ATCs should be analysed to find the truth.
