before I read this article I always had complaints from the almighty about doing bad to only me whenever it was a tough phase I was going through but now I know there are people who suffer more......all I can say is that please be brave like the way u are and m sure good days will come ur way...I will always keep praying for you.Last but not the least If u are hoping that anyone in our govt. would do something about it then I am sorry to say that u are expecting too much for them.....but i hope our prayers would work wonders for you.

I admire you

It is so courageous of you to bring up your child in such adverse and precarious circumstances.

I think it is true that there are unsung heros in this world. and I would say that you are one.

It is good to know that media is recognising your years of anguish and silent suffering. But it is very disspointing and frustrating to see how the Indian government does not value human life!

A very brave lady
by Karthikeyan on Aug 12, 2003 06:46 PM

The story about the lady bringing up the child against all odds is truly encouraging.
The attitude shown by Air Force and the indian govt shown is pathetic to say the least. Why doesnt the defence minister take up such cases instead of flying to leh or flying in mig's or going down the sea in a submarine.
The attitude of people in high places should change. the working of govt dept's should change., Let good sense prevail on the powers that Be.

Being son of a defence personal i am deeply grieved that the dept cudnt help u but for every action of theirs they have a reason . ANYWAY .. with all the hype surrounding the revival of bus link and surgery of Noor , why dont u take the bus to Lahore and talk it out with pakistani authorities .. after all they have a heart too and they do understand that in bangalore we repaired a young heart of theirs ..

Ms Lakshmi

Your relentless search goes on to show that you are a woman of conviction and unflinching faith in your belief that your husband is alive. I pray and wish he is alive and you will meet him in this birth of yours

Rem, even if you don't meet him this birth , the fact that you aited for these 30 years would have endeared your soul to find him in your next birth, while all of us will drop this body and move on souls with such a strong conviction usually find peace sooner than later. Your relentless search will not go unanswered.
