Saddam and his so-called army are running shoeless from the field of battle. If the general had any part in training the Iraqi forces he should not mention it too often. Saddam is a coward as all murderous dictators are and will not get a chance to surrender. Given the chance he surely would. The General is out of touch with reality.
What is not fair in war? What is unfair in peace? What is the psudo imperialism in present era? Saddam surrenders or not but majority of world community has surrendered.
The world is in favour of Iraqi people ,because of Saddams attitude towards his country.He has taught his people to be ready for any emergency, his people can live without food water and shelter. This nobody can do for nothing only for the love of their country.
If Americans were ask to do this they cant do it for even a day.USA and UK have asked for it they will suffer all their life. Now for Arabs and All Muslim world Americans and Britishers are their Sworn enemies.

Dear Sir, No one should surrender. or need to surrender. People are doing what they are compelled to do for their personal benefits and prestige. Who cares for the welfare of human race as such. In love both are victors and vanquished and in war all the parties are vanquished. go ahead cause discussions and public debates and engage the attention of all and sundry.
He doesn't really mean that anything is fair in war. He says if americans can bomb hiroshima and if they feel that is fair, then suicide bombing is fair as well.
