Saif playing RAAVAN?
by rakesh zariwala on Sep 04, 2020 07:32 PM

How can any film maker think of Saif Ali, playing Raavan? What does he know of Hinduism? He would be the worst choice. Let it come & see the result.

Same as above.

Obviously Yes. He is a real life Raavan anyways so on screen it will just be a reflection of his real self.

Raavan has to a handsome huge-ish actor

Depiction of Raavan is not just an evil Mughal kind of look that Saif portrays. Raavan has to be a handsome tall, muscly kind of actor. If Prabhas is cast as Lord Ram, Then Demon Lord Raavan has to be somebody bigger and rounder eyes as depicted in the poems and epics that forms Ramayana. If Saif is cast as Raavan, it won't make an impact. It will be as bad as a tiny Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher who is supposed to be huge. Sometimes Size does maatter. I like both Tom and Saif but casting is very important. You cannot make mistakes with that. Would recommend Om Raut cast someone like Rana (if not Rana then someone with his build) or Aditya Menon (villain down south), even Mukesh Rishi (see Jalsa) would do better as Raavan.

Correctly said. No offence but with all his abilities, Said cannot be the main villain, he is best as the most important side kick. Meghnad yes, maybe AhiRaavan even.
