Cinema halls loosing a billion rupees a month
by (null) on Jul 27, 2020 09:06 AM

It\'s high time these cinema halls closed down, if they are making so.much money by looting the public. Their fares in Bangalore range from anywhere between 250 and 550 rupees per seat and the extras they make by selling popcorn and colas are another rip off. If they are there to corner all the black money then they should also have rates for people who pay hard earned money to watch movies. Let them have B halls and C halls as c for commoners and B for blackmoney hoarders. Only this way they will have any sympathy from the public otherwise they might as well close down their movie halls.

Also tell how much profit they made during normal times

Why only we hear companies, business concerns, stock dealers' accounts of losses? Why nobody talks of how much profit they make at good times?

Agree. Cinema multiplexes have been looting people in the name of entertaintment. Just because kids love to watch movies in multiplexes - we have to cough up rs. 200 to 300 AND still pay 4 to 5 times MRP for bottled water, popcorn - a pair of samosa\'s/wadas that cost rs. 30 a pair -- cost rs. 80 to 100 in all malls: How the govt. condoned this for over a decade is still a mystery.
