Sorry, Aseem, Can't share your enthusiasm about Mira Nair's adaptation. The last two episodes came through as distinctly cheesy - heavily layered. Although I plodded through Seth's book two decades ago, I can't recall much of the details, but I am terribly disappointed with this "Made For The Raj" hotpotch. No wonder BBC picked it up - it caters to BBC's attitude towards India one hundred percent. A real shame that we are still unable to get over the colonial slavishness.
