bollywood must learn how to make a real and uncharismatic (i.e. without any 8,6 or 10 packs literally and irritating dance) war film from films like "Saving private ryan", band of brothers or guns of nevarone etc...
Writing such reviews will not go well with the producers or actors for that matter.
Producer, director and actors conceive and believe in a script. They invest lot of money, time and efforts and try their best to give good out put.
It so happens that pictures released without any star cast and expectation do well at the box office on the contrary big budget films flop.
Therefore, the films have to be given time for the audience to see and enjoy and form opinion on the same. If film is good, it spreads though mouth talk and cash counter start ringing.
But media writing bad reviews is not good. What is not good for the reviewer may be very interesting for some one. But he will give a miss to the film after reading bad review. or worse he get biased.
Now a days, story is not important, it is only in picturisation, dialogues, sentiment, comedy etc which attracts people.
i suggest Rediff not to give bad reviews and hold on. at the same time writing great about a bad film also equally not good.
ALL WARS ARE BORE. DO YOU THINK WARS ARE ENTERTAINMENT ? LIKE SHOWN IN BOLLYWOOD FILMS. DO YOU THINK THE SOLDIERS SING SONGS AND DANCE AROUND TREES ? THESE ARE REAL STORIES OF REAL MEN WHO LEFT THEIR FAMILIES NEVER TO SEE THEM AGAIN SO THAT YOU CAN GET BORED WHEN YOU HEAR THEIR STORIES IN MOVIES SEEN WITH YOUR FAMILIES IN YOUR LEISURE TIME. WAKE UP TO REAL REALITY UNLIKE MADE UP REALTY SHOWS. I AM HAPPY YOU GOT BORED AND I AM SORRY THE SOLDIERS GAVE UP THEIR LIVES FOR BORING CITIZENS LIKE YOU. YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN SLAVES OF THE CHINESE TO UNDERSTAND THE SUPREME SACRIFICES MADE BY THESE SOLDIERS SO THAT YOU THANKLESS CITIZENS CAN LIVE FREE AND HAVE THE FREEDOM OF PRESS TO CALL THEIR STORIES BORE.
The critics want that a movie should be made through their eyes and it will then satisfy them. I have read many of your so called reviews and contrary to that found the movie interesting. Many of your reviewers words proved again contrary to the fate of the film. So, readers watch the movie. It is good.
