It is better to hand over reins to some IAS officer or management guru it is administrative job and need good manager who can get the work done from others no need for a person from film industry
This fellow talks big big things about nationalism sacrifice for country etc and openly criticises opposition party and its leaders. But now when he is getting an opportunity to do something for youth of this country he is running away to U S A either for earning tons of money OR for more fame how no idea what interest American citizens will have for Indians Today they have changed rules to throw out foreigners still we Indians love that country more than our own and Mr KHER is displaying it blatantly we all should boycott all his films and his wife should be defeted in ext election

It is obvious decision that when he is earning more in US why he should waste his time in India may be as FTII chief. Money is more better than prestige which have also come in his way by virtue of his wife's success in politics. After submitting his resignation, in the end he is still writing that he is available for any guidance or responsibility. Double standard. To keep both ends intact.
According to me, the rein of Director should be handed over to a great thinker as well as disciplinarian like Shyam Benegal or Govind Nihalani. Subhash ghai or David Dhawan can also be considered.
