Karnataka is the best
by kiran kiran on Jun 06, 2018 08:43 PM

think many people don't know this -

1) Karnataka provides water to Tamilnadu
2) Karnataka provides water to Pondicherry
3) Karnataka provides water to Kerala
4) Karnataka provides water to Andhra Pradesh
5) Karnataka provides water to Telangana
6) Karnataka provides water to Goa

So for which states Tamilnadu provides water ? We should ask Rajinikanth. Why was Rajinikanth against IPL matches and helped to ban in chennai. Now why he is promoting for films.

Does Rajini's state provide water to any states. The answer is No No No

Films and politics
by Sane Voice on Jun 05, 2018 10:12 PM  | Hide replies

There is a visible tendency among Tamil film personalities to settle down in politics at the end of their film career. Of course, this happened with NTR in AP too. As long as they engage in politics 100%,there was no problem. But some stars try to sail in two boats as they are not sure of their fortunes in politics. Rajani kanth is one such example. If he wants to join political main stream, let him do so and try his luck. Let him make all kinds of statements to ignite the passion of masses in his area. That will be viewed mainly as a political move. But if he is not sure about his course of action, he just dabbles in politics, utters something which does not go well with other states, and this creates problems for his films. Karnataka should be thankful that he migrated to Tamil cinema, as such people bring only confusion and chaos among people and release of their films even create law and order problems in other states.

Rajini has to fight it out just like kamal did for his earlier movie and leela bhansali did for padmavati. No choice when you are dealing with lowlifes and mongrels. Just fight fight!

Cauvery water rights to Tamilnadu are in line with international practice in riparian rights of down stream states The flow of water to Tamilnadu should not be stopped as per that riparian rights. If any doubt about that stop the flow of water to Pakistan from India and then see how is the reaction.Karnataka and the Central Govt. are guilty of robbing the riparian rights of Tamilnadu R.Ponnambalam

Riparian rights of down stream states will get credence when there is sufficient water in the upper riparian area. Last year, the water levels touched dead storage levels in the dams that feed kaveri river and TN. There was no water for irrigation in the upper riparian areas last year. But there was sizeable storage of water in Metter dam as compared to the upper riparian areas. This year, with monsoon making a good beginning, things are appearing brighter. When the rains are satisfactory, there has never been any problem between the two states. Problem arises when the lower riparian state starts demanding water which is not available with the upper riparian state. There is an absolute necessity of working out an acceptable formula for water sharing during drought conditions.

Mr Insane Voice, Karnataka is not supposed to be irrigate so much land to begin with. When the water sharing agreement was drawn there was only x Hectares of land, not karnataka has increased that land area by 20X and denying water to TN. TN has actually shrunk its irrigatable lands becuase of lack of water. So no, you cannot artificially increase water scarecity and claim victim.

Not interested in stooping to your level and calling names. Has not TN increased the area of cultivation several fold? If TN has indeed shrunk its area of irrigatable land, then they need less water. Why are they crying for water at each opportunity? There is no question of increasing water scarcity. But water scarcity was very much a fact in kaveri river last year.

Release of kaala
by Sane Voice on Jun 05, 2018 05:42 PM  | Hide replies

What the sanghi government was doing at Centre and several states when such an unjustified hue and cry was raised against Padmavat and was banned by several northern BJP ruled states? When BJP does it, it is alright. But when so called fringe elements in other non-bjp states do it, it is bad is it? In the present case, the karnataka rakshana vedike has its presence all over karnataka and has been spearheading kaveri agitation for a long time. Now that rajani kanth wants to test his luck in politics, he is making political statements about kaveri. But at the same time, he is releasing his movie. He expects that his politically motivated statements should be well-received, even by people or region against whom they are targeted. At the same time, he wants his movie to be well received by the same people / region. Mr Rajni kanth thus wants to have the cake and eat it too, which is not likely. If he wants his movies to be well received, let him refrain from making politically motivated statements. Otherwise, let him be prepared to forego that piece of pie that accrues from the affected area.

Not interested in stooping to your level in calling names. If you are capable of understanding English, you would not have made these comments. When compared to the fragmented real fringe elements in parts of Rajasthan and Gujrat which opposed the release of padmavat whose stand was also faithfully supported by the BJP governments in these states, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike is apolitical organization for protecting and promoting the interest of the state and its language. Tell Mr Rajnikant that he cannot be talking against the interests of the people of karnataka and still wants his films to have a good running.

You deserve it, Kollywood
by Srinivas on Jun 05, 2018 05:05 PM  | Hide replies

Honourable Gentlemen Vishal/ Prakash Raj/ Dhanush - please tell us what you were doing when thugs from your film world like Bharathiraja, Sathyaraj, Ameer, Gautaman & the biggest anti-social Seeman were holding Chennai & IPL to ransom 2 months ago ? I was a witness to the manhandling of 2 cricket fans outside the stadium on the evening of 10th April. At that time, none of you felt like opening your mouths. Now when it pinches you, you act holier than thou.

First get your own house in order. Do not dabble in politics and rowdyism to get cheap publicity for yourself, then you can question the Karnataka & TN Governments.

The only sad part here is that Rajnikanth's film is being targeted. He said the right things at that time, when he condemned the violence & attack on policemen, just as he has done during the Sterlite protest.
