Having seen Sairaat on YouTube a dozen times and having wept on almost every song without even understanding much of the words.
The day I read it on news that KJo had purchased the remake rights, I knew it was flop. Maybe those who havent watched Sairaat might see this flop on repeat.
Sairaat is a Masterpiece. No copy can even be near it. Period!
I have seen Sairat, I have seen Chan Mereya ,Kjo producing Hindi version, obviously has to be glossy, emotionless,chocolate version. Lacking soul , the movie can not have the original rustic charm. Save money, watch Sairat on tv.
