This is a classic example of what social media can do for humanity. Millions of talents have got extinguished without being noticed by anyone. It is astonishing that the development of this very science was vehemently opposed by the blind communists in kerala, as they do for any progressive ideas by resorting to Strikes/Hartals/Bandhs etc..

The song and its new singer
by Chaitanya on Jul 18, 2018 10:35 PM

My confession is that when the movie Vishwaroopam had released, I had completely ignored it.

Now, I saw this viral video of the song being sung by this brilliantly talented semi-literate log-wood laborer during a water-break.

I was completely floored by his singing.

Then, I watched the video of his meeting with Kamalahaasan. Touched by the magic and miracle of that encounter.

Finally, I watched a video of the actual song from the movie. Again, floored by the visual beauty, the manifold geniuses that crafted that song for the movie.

Now, I keep watching both videos repeatedly everyday (the laborer Rakesh, and the original).

Can't get the song out of my head.

All the best to Rakesh. He should just make sure that new-found fortune is not mis-spent in misguided vice, and he will have a bright future.

A great singer.

Now he has met the towering personality of the Toliwood. We have to see how much time it would take Kamala Hasan and Shankar Mahadevan to mentor this singer from a very poor background.Wish him all the best for scaling the summit of musicdom.

There may be so many unknown singers like him.It is really great that big stars are also encouraging them.Latent talents need to be developed and encouraged.Government can also do a lot in this regard.
