Television is dying
by Manohar Rao on Feb 04, 2018 07:51 PM

Bring back Yeh jo hai Zindagi, Ghar Jamai, Karamchand Jasoos, Nukkad, Fauji, Circus, Phool Khile hain Gulshan Gulshan, Jaban Sambhalke and many such memorable serials.
These soaps are not only destroying the pure and unadulterated entertainment, they are also destroying the Indian culture.
I do not watch a single serial/soap. TV for me is to watch news, sports and movies. Coming to news channels, they too are actually turning as big head ache. They repeat the same news again and again. In the name of discussions the only thing they do is fight and no outcome comes out of the discussions. There are more film based programs. When it comes to sports cricket dominates.
Yes, television is dying a slow death. A day will come when television will become a communication device, where you can talk to anybody in the world like imo. Already people are watching youtube on television, instead of regular programs.
Cable TV is already dead, DTH will also die soon with that television will also die because then most of the people will only watch internet programs.
More and more people are spending time on internet rather than infront of TV.
To fight this competition, television industry should concentrate more on creativity and high quality content. Just move away from never ending soaps and serials.

Real fact
by Soumitra Goswami on Jan 30, 2018 09:50 AM

We produce lots of garbage only to make sure some people get khana. This is real fact in India and that's why Bollywood is so sensitive target to India as those people are in competition to survive. Why do we not think of producing directly food to feed instead of pampering lazy housewives?

Television
by edgardesouza on Jan 28, 2018 08:53 PM

Problem with TV producers is starting of every serial is done well and once viewers feel that serial content is good, then the same story that should have ended in 40 or 50 episodes is deliberately prolonged and extended into 500 or even 1000 episodes never ending and even if one misses 10 episodes at a stretch also won't miss any storyline, boring the viewers to no end.Unless story and content demands any serial should not be given more than 100 episodes except historical stories like Mahabharata,Ramayana, bhagavatham etc.Example for excellent TV serials his Mahabharata,Ramayana,CID,Crimepetrol,BaalikaBadhu,YejohiJindagi,BhabhijiGharMeHai,Ashoka,Chandragupta and presently Saneeswara charitra etc.

Not he or not only him, but by producers, and the LGMA or average GMA audiences, auntie & uncles,,, retired,,etc and not necessarily NORTH Y...even of south and east & west, it is the same story... idiotic watching...
And TV is not missed by us now, as our plasma TV got serious service requirement.. and the idiots and their associates.. could not/would not touch it,, as it is not supported by company.. so we don't have a TV now since August last.. and now we are happy with the situation..we can talk... and enjoy, entertain etc.
