Good but ....

I saw the movie today. I feel its a good movie to watch but its not a material for Oscar nomination. Its very slow may be it suffers from budget constraint. The cinematography is lacklustre. The screenplay does not hold you to your chair. This is especially when you juxtapose it with the likes of marath films like Shwaas or Court. I am purposely refering marathi films because the director of this film is maharashtrian so you are tempted to compare. Even though the medium is hindi the film fails to exploit it. The actors have done well. Also the wherever the tribal language is used the producer should have made us of subtitles, which is another error I feel. In toto I feel its a good change and quality film, but I don't feel marathi audience will second it for oscar nomination.

I saw Newton. Good effort. It has made an Oscar entry and it may win it too as it has shown India in poor light.
The film is totally one-sided as it shows security forces as the cause for all problems in the advasi area. What about role of naxalites, politicians and people who are having business interests in the area? Also all advasis may not be holy cow!
During 2014 there was massive killing in Chattisgarh which included prominent congress leaders. After a couple of months adminitration conducted elections to Parliament successfully and voting turn out even in advasi areas was good. Nobody makes films on such success stories.

clearly the subtlety of the film has not been able to reach your thought centre. The film does not show security forces as cause for all problems. It clearly puts the security forces on the same footing as the tribals as well as the election officers. All are independently equally powerless
